Classic Car TV Show beats Hollywood shows on rankings.

The new hot hit television show in the UK has out-ranked Hollywood shows, according to the Broadcasters' Audience Research Board ( BARB ). The new show is called " For the Love Of Cars", and stars Philip Glenister from " Life of Mars " fame, centreing around his passion for Classic Cars, and the massive rise in interest in them. The television show has pulled in more than 1 million viewers each and every week, and is beating Hollywood shows such as " Fargo " and Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, to make it the top ranking television show on Sundays on Channel 4. It has actually become Channel 4's third most watched show of the week, only being beaten by " The Island with Bear Grylls " ( 2.36 million viewers ), and 24 hours in A&E ( 1.80 Million viewers ).

The huge rise in interest in Classic Cars is now being evidenced in so many ways, and comes on the back of a report in the 4th of June issue of Classic Car Weekly, that discussed the great rise in Classic Car Museum visits, which is now including MP's such as Sir Greg Knight. Mr Geoff Lancaster, the spokesman for the British Historic Vehicle Clubs, has said of the new TV show that " It has opened up Classic Cars to a much younger audience, and helped get them interested in the history of these fantastic cars. I hope they do a second series, because there are so many other Birtish Classics that they could feature ".

The current episodes includede stories on a Ford Escort MK1, a Series 1 Land Rover, and a Triumph Stag, as these are both affordable, as well as being fast risers on the values front. Triumph Stags have just begun their rise, as the next outstanding Triumph after the TR6.
