Hollywood beating Top TV show comes to Australia

Hollywood beating Top rating Classic Car TV Show comes to Australia.

The Hot Hit television series that splashed onto British telelevision screens recently, out-rating rival Hollywood shows is now to be shown in Australia. The popularity of the new show that stars Philip Glenister saw between 1.05 million and 1.79 million people to tune into the show, which was aired on Channel 4 between the 20th of April, 2014, and the 1st of June, 2014. Philip Glenister was the star of " Life on Mars ", as well as " Ashes to Ashes " alongside Keeley Hawes, and was very enthusiastic about the use of the iconic red Audi Quattro in that television show. He pioneered the phrase " Fire up the Quattro " which has gone onto become a favoured statement with many Audi Quattro owners.

" For the Love of Cars " features 7 episodes, and begins with covering the infamous Ford Escort Mexico. The second episode covers a Series 1 Land Rover, with third focussing on the restoration of a lovely red Triumph Stag. Episode 4 covers the equally infamous Mini Cooper Mk1, with the fifth episode covering the MG TC. Episode 6 sees a full restoration on a De Lorean, with the final episode being an Auction of all cars. The new series commences in Australia on ABC Channel 2 at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday the 16th of July, 2014.

When the show aired in Britain, it beat big-budget Hollywood series " Fargo " as well as " Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D ", and rapidly became Channel 4's third most-watched television programme. Whilst " 24 Hours in A&E " just topped the show with 1.80 million viewers, it was a very close run race. Every Classic Car lovers in Britain and Europe is hoping that Channel 4 will now commission a second series, although this will depend in part upon Philip Glenister's availability, as he is known to have some other projects running at present. Everyone's fingers are crossed !.
