How do I start making money from Classic Cars ? (Part 2 of 4)

In the first part of this series, we began coaching you through a four step process towards making money with Classic Cars. In this second part of the programme, we are now supplying you with some tools to undertake the tasks.

We said that we would show you how you can begin with £100 in England, or $200 in Australia.

In this next part, we will move onto the tools that you will need. These are predominantly four main websites :

www.autotrader.co.uk

For purchasing Classic Cars from Europe. This website is one of Britain’s major car sales websites, and you will need a UK postcode to access it. Use W11 2BQ for sourcing cars from a London base. It is similar to carsales.com.au in Australia inasmuch as it will give you the most accurate up to the minute price guide for cars there.  Naturally, we source our cars using our own contacts, which generally shaves at least 20% from the given prices, meaning that we source European cars at a lower cost than anyone else.

www.carsales.com.au

For selling cars in Australia. This is the primary resource for checking up to the minute car prices in Australia. Just move between autotrader and carsales for comparisons, not forgetting that there are many additional fees for the freight, duties and taxes, Vehicle Compliance, registration etc that we currently arrange.

www.gumtree.com.au

For purchasing Classic Cars from Australia. This is a fast ascending resource that because of it’s cost base ( it is FREE to advertise on gumtree ) attracts many of the cheaper cars, along with many “ Barn Finds “ that are often owned without realisation of the value.

www.carandclassic.co.uk

For selling Classic Cars in Europe and the U.S.A. This is one of many websites in Europe that deal with Classic Cars, and are free to advertise on. Have a look and see the prices that Classic Cars get now.

If you take a look at these websites, you will see that by simply moving cars from Europe to Australia, one can make significant financial gains. For exaple, if you look for an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante Convertible (V12) on www.autotrader.co.uk, and then compare the prices with www.carsales.com.au, you will begin to appreciate the oppurtunity that we are exposing you to.

Part 3 of this look into Classic Car Investing will be published in the near future.
