How is the Classic Car Market shaping up in 2015 ?.

Many experts have been looking into the future of Classic Car Investing, and their findings have proved interesting, given the state of the various and relevant economies around the world now.

Classic Car prices have had a spectacular crash in the past, and that was in the early 1990's. This crash was really the result of some very different factors to what we are presented with now, as many of the Classic Cars then were purchased with borrowed money, and this was done without the knowledge and due dilligence that is being demonstrated today.

In addition, Japanese real estate and stock markets crashed at that time, which fuelled the debt issues of that time, coupled with much higher borrowing costs than we have now.. Mr Dietrich Hatlapa, the founder of the Historic Automobile Group International (HAGI), says that "The markets started to recover from about 1998". We note that since then, there’s never been a year where classic car prices have actually fallen, which is a fairly amazing record for an investment.

All the opinions in 2015 are indicating that whilst growth may slow slightly, there will not be the crash that many had feared. In fact, with most of our Classic Cars coming out of Australia, our future is looking spectacular as the price of Iron Ore sinks below $50 per tonne, and BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto ramp up supply to drive the price down still further to eliminate the opposition. Add to that the price of oil dropping that of course takes natural gas down with it, and things are definitely changing quickly in the Lucky Country. Couple all of that with rapidly rising housing prices in Sydney and Melbourne as well as the falling AU$, and we have a recipe for Recession in Australia.

That means just one thing............... a drop in the prices of Classic Cars in Australia towards the end of 2015, when some people will have to sell their beloved car, while prices continue to rise in the United Kingdom. Maybe come and join us now !!.
