Jaguar XJS Convertible continues to rise in value at latest auctions

The rise and rise of Jaguar's XJS Convertible is becoming increasingly evident to the wider Investing Public as proven by two of the latest auction prices, as reported in Classic Car Weekly on the 15th of October, 2014.

There were two cars sold in September auctions, one at Bonhams in London, and the other at Silvestone Auctions. The first example reached £20,700 (AU$ 37,842), and the second achieved £21,375 (AU$ 39,076), with bidding furious up until the point of sale. We purchased two very similar cars less that one year ago for £5500 and £6500 respectively. Our cars have QUADRUPLED in value in less than 12 months.

There have recently been rumblings of a " Correction" in the Classic Car Market, although we are not witnessing anyhting more than a slight levelling out at present, and that timeframe incli=udes everything in all markets across the past 4 months.

If some of the following prices are anything to go by, values are still strong :

1970 Aston Martin DB6 MKII sold at Silverstone Auctions for £954,500 (AU$ 1,744,000)

1973 Porsche 911 S Targa sold at Silverstone Auctions for £195,000 (AU$ 356,489)
