The Coolest Classic Cars of the Seventies Video

There are many and very varied views on what was the Coolest Car of the Seventies, although this Video helps in narrowing down the contenders. The video, and accompanying story highlight just how fabulous some of these cars actually were, and reminds us all of why so many people love the cars from the 1970's and 1980's. There was a real "coming of age" for many manufacturers during these two periods, despite the rise in the cost of oil during that time.

Cars like the Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari 308 GTB, Porsche 2.7 RS, the 330 hp De Tomaso Pantera, and the BMW 3.0 CS Coupe all receive a mention, as do the likes of the VW Golf Gti, which kickstarted the Hot Hatch era.

The amazing Lancia Stratos with it's Ferrari engine in included, as are the Aston Martin Lagonda and V8 Vantage, the lovely Datsun 240 Z, The Lotus Esprit, Alfa Romeo Montreal, Ford Escort MK I Mexico, as well as the striking BMW M1.

Car from the Seventies came in all shapes and sizes and there really was a car for everyone, and they all looked different to one another !. Some of these cars were mighty quick for their time too, and even stack up well by today's performance standards.
