Two Triumph TR3 Barn Finds for sale

Following more than 35 years of storage in a garage here in Australia, two Triumph TR3's have come up for sale. The two cars were actually put together at Standard Triumph's factory in Melbourne, using parts that were shipped from the United Kingdom and are a 1956 Triumph TR3, as well as a 1958 Triumph TR3A. The two cars are being sold for $28,571, and are being sold in an " As is " condition, which will of course mean that they will both need to be restored to their former glory.

The two cars may well end up being shipped back to the United Kingdom, as they are of course worth considerable sums of money there. The cars have come from a deceased estate, and are being sold on behalf of the wife of the original owner. The two cars have fairly unique colour schemes as well as trim colourisation, as the interior is finished in red and black herringbone vinyl.

The second of thwe two cars is the TR3A, and this car was invloved in a very minor brush with a post, and was therefore taken off the road in 1978, after being purchased for spare parts for the existing first car. The engine and gearbox were then removed, although replacement units come as part of the deal.
