Auction Update for Recent Classic Cars

March 18, 2014

There have been many Classic Cars sold since December, 2013, and prices have risen dramatically.

Firstly, it was rewarding to see that Jaguar XJS values have continue on their fast upward trend, with the sale of a Lister XJS at the 9th of December Bonhams Auction achieving  GB£39,100 ( AU$ 73,773 )  which has taken the XJS prices at Bonhams Auctions to new heights.
Secondly, it would appear as though Jaguar E-Types have continued their rise, as a car that was only suitable for restoration has just made GB£88,000 ( AU$ 166,037 ) at a Coys Auction !!. Good  " flat floor " E-Types are now achieving almost  GB£200,000, with the specially restored ones making more.
An Aston Martin DB4 GT made GB£1,569,000 ( AU$ 2,960,377 ) at the Bonhams Auction of the 1st of December, 2013, with a DB6, only suitable for restoration did well, coming in at  GB£180,700 ( AU$ 340,943 ) at the same Auction.

When looking at Triumph's, we see that the the predicted rise in Stag values has begun. During the Historics Auction of the 30th of November, 2013, a Stag was seen to sell under the Hammer for GB£12,650 ( AU$23,867 ), and this is expected to fuel the rise of the Triumph Stag, although maybe not back to TR6 standards.
