The Team that beat Porsche at their own game.

Taking a K3 to victory at Le Mans.

Unlike other manufacturer's that produced race cars for the road, Porsche built road cars, and as such significant work was required to make them competitive as a race or rally car.

Prodrive were able to build great Porsche rally cars, and Kremer beat the Porsche factory on the track on many occasions with their awesome design and racecraft. Here is an article by a person that once worked for them.

This unique SS Speciale is one to own.

Later versions of this car (Guiletta Sprint) achieved 200 km/hr from a 1290 and 1570 cc engine, using the good old Lotus ( Colin Chapman) concept, of good power (100 bhp) and very low weight. With AU$66,574 (£38,480) paid for this 205 Gti last year, the changing of the guard is on

This mid-2017 report discusses the migration to exciting, more driveable and reliable cars from the 1990's that is now happening, with an Alpina E31 B12 also selling for AU$108,900.

As this article by Classic & Sports Finance states, European interest in the older Ferrari's and Porsche (308 GTB's and 911's) is now migrating towards cars that actually drive properly, do not require days of driving to become accustomed to, nor have large maintenance bills, and have an even greater ROI by percentage of price.

As we also all know, Europe always leads, and Australia follows............

Bernie Ecclestone was a used car dealer prior to running Formula 1 until Liberty Media took over, and this car was sold by him for AU$6,000 (£3500) when he was in his mid-twenties. Even Bernie would have never imagined that it would now be worth an estimated 257,000% more, at £9 Million (AU$15.5 Million), rising strongly as Classic Cars do. Gooding and Co will auction the car on the 19th of January.
