With so much press about the early Range Rover 2 door's, we are very, very pleased to have a significant stock of these vehicles, which are now being readied for sale (all purchased prior to the boom).
First there was the value rise. Next was the front page of Octane Magazine in December. Then there was the announcement by Jaguar Rover that they would sell "new" (restored) Range Rovers for $220,000 (£135,000). Now, there are all of the "Wanted" advertisements for Range Rovers everywhere. Finally, here is one of the first the mini movie's about the first SUV to come to market, in 1970. Values will of course go ballistic, as we predicted.
This Jaguar E-Type is expected to reach AU$65,000 (£40,000)

Why Mitsubishi's Lancer Evoloution 6.5 Makinen is now a classic
The Mitsubishi Lancer Eveolution 6.5 is fast gaining Modern Classic status, as indeed it should. These cars represeneted such tremendous value for money at the time, as do Subaru WRX's. The sheer performance, coupled with 4 wheel drive created a revolution on the streets, as well as in the WRC.
It is extremely rare to find a Datsun 1600 SSS for sale, and one has now become available in Sydney, Australia for just AU$45,500
These iconic cars were cutting edge at the time, with fully independent suspension along with great handling
Range Rover 2 door values are about to go ballistic, now that Jaguar/Rover have announced that they are building 10 new vehicles, using original base vehicle's, that they are restoring.
This concept is gaining more and more momentum, and continue's the similar trend begun by Jaguar with the 'New" E-Type's built in 2014 from existing chassis's, which are incredibly valuable now.
Clearly top condition original and restored models will now attract serious money. Thankfully, we purchased loads of them !.

Toyota Sprinter AE86's are on the move again. This one is $25,000.
As has been the case for some time, Sprinter's have been a favourite with rear-wheel drive lovers. it was only a matter of time before these cars took off again, and it looks as though that time is now. There are currently 26 AE 86's on sale in Australia for between $16,000 and $31,500.
As all things Classic and Modern Classic rise rapidly, it is now the MR2's turn.
We purchased as many Toyota MR2's as we could last year (and 2015), although maybe we should have acquired more. It is now too late !!.
Even though this car has high kms, the price is appropriate for the new economy, especially as it is a truly beautiful car.
Paul Michaels from Hexagon Classics assisted in these predictions one year ago, and was spot on.
The year of 2016 started very slowly, as the flattened market from 2015 continued. However, as August and September dawned, it all changed, and auction prices as well as retail rose steadily, especially in Australia.
With Japanese Modern Classics now getting attention, this show held last year is a great indicator

Born2Invest writes about the booming Classic Car Market
It seems a s though every single Investment Publication is reporting on the booming Classic Car market. Whilst there are still one or two naysayers that say "Oh, this will all end in tears", they also accept that the last time Classic Car values dropped was 26 yeears ago, and so they may well grow old before they shell out some readies for an actual car !.
