by MIRAGE NEWS | May 1, 2019

Record Australian Auction prices paid recently at final Gosford Classic Car Auction.

With Collectible Car values rising fast, $1.55 Million was paid for an Aston Martin DB5 last month, as Australian auction records were re-written.

A 2017 Nissan Skyline R35 GTR Nismo achieved $237,500, whilst a 2006 Ferrari Superamerica made $510,000. A Porsche 928 GTS achieved $90,000, whilst other Ferrari's came in at solid prices, whilst others were down as we had predicted, along with some descending Porsche's.

$10.2 BILLION is the the U.K's annual spend on Collectible cars. Read why Australia is missing out.

by JUST CARS MAGAZINE | April 24, 2019

$10.2 BILLION is the the U.K's annual spend on Collectible cars. Read why Australia is missing out.

Australia is only expected to spend just $104.3 Million on Collectible cars. Here is part of the reason why.

This article asks the key question of why does Australia still have a LCT (Luxury Car Tax) when there is no car industry there, which dramatically increases the cost of importing a Collectible car into Australia.

We have had recent experience of the LCT (33% of the imported car value after $66,331), where the figure paid to the Government was in excess of $1 Million. This news article was written by Just Cars just after last year's Motorclassica event in Victoria, and raises some very interesting points.....

400% rise in value in 4 years means that we will now see two Jaguar XJ220's at the same May auction.

400% rise in value in 4 years means that we will now see two Jaguar XJ220's at the same May auction.

Now that Jaguar XJ220's are worth solid money, two of our Collector friends are cashing in.

As everyone knows, XJ220 values have risen in line with all the other great cars that we purchase, as they were only worth £100,000 or less a few years ago (2015), and now worth 4 times that amount. Thankfully, we purchased one back in 2014 for just £25,000, with a blown engine in lots of pieces in the boot. For many years these cars were completely unloved, although as with Porsche 930 Turbo's, Ferrari 308 GTB's, everybody suddenly remembered them.

SOLD. $92,000 (US$66,000) for this Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo

by R. M. SOTHEBY'S | April 3, 2019

SOLD. $92,000 (US$66,000) for this Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo

This Nissan 300 ZX continued the rise of Japanese Collectible Cars last weekend.

As part four of the Youngtimer Collection Auctions took place a few days ago, this Nissan 300 ZX signalled the way ahead for even the less well-loved Japanese Collectible's. As all of our Investor's know, an abundance of VERY low km immaculate 300ZX's were available last year inside our Collector Network for less than $8,000.

Ferrari's DROP 36% in value. Now DOWN from £70,000 in 2015 to £44,400 ($82,000) for 328 GTS

by CLASSIC CAR AUCTIONS | March 29, 2019

Ferrari's DROP 36% in value. Now DOWN from £70,000 in 2015 to £44,400 ($82,000) for 328 GTS

Why did we sell almost all of our Ferrari's years ago ?.

Because Ferrari 328 GTS's were priced at £35,800 in July, 2013, and by July, 2015 they were at £71,420, and so had DOUBLED in 2 years. Now they are almost back to the 2013 prices, regardless of how "special" the car might be. This car is one of only 15 Blue Chiaro RHD builds with light grey leather trim, and so it is certainly very rare, and so should have sold higher, despite needing minor work. It did not because over-inflation often occurs with certain Ferrari's.

For the same reason, we also sold most of our 70's Porsche 911's, because the market is always moving on to far more civilised cars that are more advanced. We are always at least 12 months ahead of the market.

There are close to 60 cars that are absolutely booming right now, and so one just has to know what is rising, and what is about to crash. Call us to join in

£16,650 (AU$29,998) for this Bentley Continental GT

A perfect example of how the Collectible Car Industry is quite often the reverse of what most people think.

We were involved with the purchase of this beautiful Bentley Continental last weekend at the Classic Car and Restoration Sale in Birmingham. As is so often the case, these cars are just typical of how the market can work the opposite way to most people's mindset. A very nice car for very little money. Rising every day as we predicted, now at $66,666 and $59,000 for two Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO's.

by Carsales.com.au | March 23, 2019

Rising every day as we predicted, now at $66,666 and $59,000 for two Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO's.

With Modern Collectible Cars now a part of every Investor's portfolio, Mitsubishi GTO's are one model that just keeps on giving.....

As we have predicted over the past 10 months within all of our News Items, prices of Japanese Supercars have soared, with great cars like the 3000 GT and GTO being carried along in the flow. Whilst the 3000 GT did not benefit from some of the features that the Gen II and Gen III GTO's had, such as the 6 speed Getrag gearbox, they are still fine supercars, with a 3 litre Twin Turbo V6, a great shape, 4WD, 4WS, as well as an aero package. The Gen III's also benefitted from additional power (320 bhp) from the factory, although not too many remain at this figure, with most around 400 bhp obtained by simple tweaks to the 2 wastegate's. Standard cars achieved 0-100 kph in 4.9 secs. As all of our regular readers know, these cars were available last year for a fraction of what they are achieving now. Call us to get in on one of the next 48 boom cars that our Collector contacts are purchasing right now.
